Congratulations to two English producers of Rose wine who have both won gold medals fro their products at the wine "Oscars". Good news for all wine lovers and I,m sure this will result in more of us looking to buy rose wine.

Chapel Down in Kent who recently provided the wine at a low key Royal shindig which some of you may have seen, collected a gold for their their sparkling Vintage Rose Brut. This meant that they have beaten off the stiffest competition imaginable from countries far more associated with any kind of wine never mind sparkling rose wine.

Denbies also picked up a gold in the still rose category for their Chalk Ridge Rose - again quite a feat. This is especially noteworthy as both producers are based a stones throw from the M25 !

Although both wines have been released in limited quantities meaning that not many of will sample this particular vintage this is surely a great bonus to all British based producers. We can only assumethat we will be able to buy rose wine online from the UK in greater quantities soon.
