This week Culinary maestros Mark Sargeant and Atul Kochhar dished up the goodies live. Lots of ginger in the mix for both guest chefs dishes. Vic Reevs faced his food heaven: Black pudding or food hell: River fish (chub,pike and even trout ! ) Wines this week were chosen by Peter Richards.
Atul prepared Murg Adraki – a delicious chicken curry with a selection of Atul's famous chutney's. Peter matched this with an Alsace Pinot Gris: Cave de Turckheim at £8.49 from Majestic.
Mark's dish was Squid with oriental dressing. Peter's choice for this spicy, citrusy dish was the refreshing and soft Tiki Ridge Marlborough Sauvignon blanc – another great SB New Zealand - £8.99
Vic was lucky and got the votes for his food heaven and got to try James's Buttermilk crumpets with black pudding, poached egg and bacon and chive hollandaise. Peter went for a cider to go with this: Henry Weston Special vintage cider.
