This week's live show featured Saturday kitchen regular Tom Kitchin and Thomas Keller as the guest chefs and Tim Atkin (whose wine blog is well worth checking out at http://blog.timatkin.com/) chose the wines to go with the meals.
Firstly Tom Kitchin prepared Mallard en Croute which Tim matched with: Sainsbury’s taste the difference Faugeres 2009
Second guest chef Thomas Keller prepared: Roast Chicken and waffles and Tim decided that Workhorse Chenin Blanc 2011 from South Africa would compliment this dish perfectly.
This weeks guest Ade Edmunson faced his food heaven: Slow cooked Beef fillet with smoked garlic mash and Madeira jus. Tim chose Gérard Bertrand Minervois 2009, France to accompany this one.
Food hell for Ade is: Pan fried smoked eel, new potatoes, leeks and clam beurre blanc. Tim’s wine for this: Extra Special Gavi 2010,Italy.
