We start with Cabernet Franc, which is one of the most used of grape varieties across the world. Grown predominantly for blending with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot varietals where it has been used to produce the classic Bordeaux style since the end of the 18th Century. Other blends are perhaps a little more unusual but well worth trying. What about a blend of tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon to produce a soft but full bodied wine full of fruit combining elegance and richness.
